Harry is never going to forgive what Mal did to Uma and he will never be anything but antagonistic towards her. While he may be willing to work with her for short periods of time, he will never respect or like her to any degree.This makes interacting with Mal's quite difficult, as writers we would like to see growth and development between our muses as they progress but as I've written Harry for years now, he is just incapable of allowing that to happen.this doesn't mean I'm not open to writing with and plotting with Mal's, it just means that it's unlikely that our muses will ever get along, trust each other, or see one another as anything but an enemy.

. THE END OF AN ERA. . Following his marriage with Queen Belle, King Adam united the Kingdoms and Nations across the continent. Together the United Kingdoms of Auradon hunted the surviving criminals and magical villains of their realm and with the aid of fairy magic resurrected those that King Adam deemed to have escaped justice. Dedicated to forcing their enemies to face dire consequences the Isle was created.A continent separate from Auradon, King Adam and his Court banished enemies of Auradon to the Isle where they would suffer a fate worse than death by living without magic. The Isle was trapped beneath an anti-magical barrier that not only imprisoned those within, but stripped them all of any magical ability.Violence and war ran rampant on the Isle for years as those trapped within fought for power, control, and territory and eventually Maleficent, Gaston, the Brethren Court, and the Red Queen reigned. Cut off from the rest of the world, the Isle is a slum, rampant with crime, violence, and gang wars, forced to live off of the scraps and junk disposed of on the Isle by Auradon.After twenty years the Isle has become a melting pot of various cultures and races with many on the Isle adopting a survivalist mentality. Compassion, empathy, love, and mercy are foreign concepts to those born and raised on the Isle.. RISING SUN. . Harry Hook is Captain James Hook's second born and only son. Abandoned on the deck of the Jolly Roger by his mother when he was only three years old, Harry has spent his entire life surrounded by pirates, privateers, sailors, and fishermen.Growing up, Harry was raised as a deckhand and powder monkey, a glorified slave of the Jolly Roger crew, forced to work for nothing and violently punished whenever he refused.Harry learned quickly that in order to survive, you had to be vicious. He taught himself how to fight, how to use a cutlass, how to steal and cheat and lie, he dedicated himself to becoming the worst of the worst.Recruited by Uma to join her crew, Harry has spent his late childhood and early adolescence carving himself a reputation among the Isle's pirate crews.At sixteen he left the Jolly Roger crew after challenging his father to a duel. He lost the fight but knew that he couldn't remain on the Roger after publicly challenging his father's position.

. NO PRISONERS. . Free to live his life out from under his fathers shadow and control, Harry thrives as Uma's second in command and First Mate. Charged with training and disciplining the crew, and enforcing Uma's orders and demands. Beside Uma, he is both her iron fist and rabid dog, extorting protection fees from those operating in Uma's territory. He defends her territory, and fights to expand and hold it depending on the demand.After Uma's disappearance, Harry was voted in as temporary Captain of the Lost Revenge crew. For two years he led the crew, keeping Uma's territory and claiming what had formerly been Maleficents. Upon Uma's return, Harry happily relinquished Captaincy as she was voted unanimously into her role as their Captain and returned to his role of First Mate.With the barrier's removal, Uma has become Pirate King of the Isle, and Harry her right hand. On the Isle, she is afforded every respect a voted King would, and in Auradon Uma is considered the senior advisor and ambassador to the Crown for the Isle, working closely with the Crown to heal and establish the Isle as a nation in its own right.Harry works alongside Uma, always her right hand, working primarily in the shadows to promote Isle rights. He acts both as her advisor, bodyguard, enforcer, spy, and Black Hand.When it became clear that the Isle needed to establish itself as an independent power, Harry devised a plan to earn Uma and by extension, the Isle, wealth and influence. Stealing his fathers map to his hidden treasure hoard.Together with the crew, Uma and Harry sailed beyond the Isle and into the wild seas far from charted land where they engaged the Jolly Roger and Captain Hook in a violent sea battle that left both ships almost destroyed.Overthrowing his father and claiming Captaincy of the Jolly Roger, Harry killed or marooned crewmen reluctant to follow his lead and joined Uma as the first ship for her Navy. Repairing the two ships, they returned to the Isle weighed down with Captain Hook's impressive treasure hoard. Using their newfound wealth to rebuild, repair, and invest in the Isle.Harry began to work organizing a massive project under the nose of Auradon, using magic and the support of the Brethren Court and the Beserkers to fairy supplies into a hidden Cove. There, Harry is managing the creation of navy ships that fly Uma's banner and fight for the Isle.

. THE ISLE LEADERSHIP. . The Original Villains with the strongest and largest influence and control over the Isle was Maleficent, Gaston, The Red Queen, and the Brethren Court. Maleficent's Goblin Army as well as her cunning, ambition, and manipulative nature inspired loyalty and fear in her subjects. Gaston has the Hunters Guild and controls the largest distribution of goods as well as hunting the wild game imprisoned on the Isle. The Red Queen controls the gambling ring and hosts the largest Casino on the Isle, she has the strongest control over currency and the Isle's economy. The Brethren Court leads the large pirate community imprisoned on the Isle as well as the fisheries of the Isle. Jafar, The Evil Queen, and Cruella are still considered exceptionally dangerous but they don't have the same following that Maleficent, Gaston, The Red Queen, and the Brethren Court had.. HARRY'S RELATIONSHIP WITH HOOK. . Harry hates his father and has hated him for years. He is obsessed with taking everything he has ever had, this includes his hook. Hence his obsession with his current one despite not being an amputee. Hook is extremely and violently abusive towards Harry moreso than his siblings and always has been. Hook views Harry at best, as one of the Lost boys that tormented him in Neverland, and at worst he views him as the embodiment of Hook's own mortality. The hatred they have for each other is mutual.. HARRY KNOCKED BEN OUT. . When Ben was on the Isle, Harry was the one who knocked him out and Gil was the one who carried him back to the ship while Harry passed on Uma's demands. He then spent the rest of the night tormenting Ben.. BEN'S RESCUE TEAM. . The entire Auradon High's Swords & Shield's team went to the Isle to rescue Ben. Not only because they were all friends of Ben's, but because, like Lonnie, the rest of the team wanted to prove themselves in battle. The C4 agreed because realistically, they needed the numbers when going up against Uma.. THE BATTLE FOR THE WAND. . There were deaths on both sides. Members of the Swords & Shield's team were killed, and members of Uma's crew later succumbed to their wounds. Uma and Lonnie had the largest body counts.. SPELLING BEN. . Uma used her own magic and power to spell Ben during Cotillion, not Mal's book. Uma has her own abilities, her own knowledge and teachings, she doesn't need Mal's or Maleficent's magic grimoire to be able to spell Ben.

. CAPTAINCY & ESCAPING THE ISLE. . Harry became Captain of the crew while Uma was trapped on the other side of the Barrier and the crew planned Harry and Gil's escape from the Isle. Stealing the C4's bikes was part of that plan.. WHEN FORCED TO WORK WITH EACH OTHER. . In the gardens, Harry and Jay came to actual physical blows. It was very violent and only ended when Uma and Mal interfered and forced them apart.. THE KNIGHT ARMOR BATTLE. . Was extremely brutal. Harry lost his left hand at the wrist, several of the others were also grievously wounded before Uma and Mal came together to destroy the spelled Knights and heal their friends. The loss of Harry's hand wasn't permanent.. WORKING WITH THE C4. . Harry only done so because Uma asked him to. He doesn't like or respect the C4 to any capacity and only agreed to help find Ben because Uma asked him to and he figured the King would owe him.. HARRY'S JEALOUS OF JAY. . Harry becomes extremely jealous and annoyed when Gil and Jay appear to be bonding and growing casually affectionate with one another.. JAY GETS HURT. . When Jay pushes Harry out of the way of a rampaging Ben, Jay is grievously wounded and is unable to move or defend himself. Carlos and Jane manage to calm and weaken the spell on Ben, and the group return to the cottage where Mal heals Jay.. AUDREY VS MAL. . Uma and Harry only help Mal against Audrey because Celia is in danger. Uma teams up with Mal, and Harry climbs the tower. He manages to get Celia out of the line of fire.. UMA, HARRY, GIL & CELIA. . They all return to the Isle prepared to never leave again. Six months pass and Uma has become the Pirate King and now controls the largest territory on the Isle. She is recognized as the Pirate King on the Isle, the Isle's representative, leader, and crowned monarchy as voted by the people.When Uma visits Auradon she is recognized as the Ambassador of the Isle and has all the powers of a diplomat and advises King Ben on Isle matters.. DOCKMASTER & GENERAL. . Harry, as always, is Uma's right-hand. He's her bodyguard, her advisor, her enforcer, her spymaster and her first-mate.

. ISLE ENFORCER. . The majority of the Isle is split up into factions and gangs, as Uma's second in command, it is up to Harry to enforce law, order, and justice within her territory. Those that reside within Uma's territory are expected to pay the Lost Revenge crew for protection. This means that the Lost Revenge becomes responsible for the safety, security, and welfare of those that have paid. The more money paid, the greater the protection and the further the security reaches, for example, prime payers will also pay for "insurance". This means that should they be harmed or injured, they can seek aid from the Lost Revenge for medical treatment, or to request revenge.. BRETHREN COURT. . Following Uma's disappearance from the Isle, Harry was voted in as a new Pirate Lord. He has held this position ever since. While the Brethren Court operates only during crisis, since the Barrier's removal the Court has begun to function as an official body of government over the large pirate, privateer, sailor, and fisheries community belonging to the Isle. As such, Harry is one of twelve voices that hold seniority over many of the Pirating crews of the Isle. As a new generation Pirate Lord, and son of James Hook, Harry advocates for new generation leadership, constantly arguing and scheming against the older generation. He wants them removed and replaced with Isle Borns or Raised.. TERRITORY CONFLICTS. . Power on the Isle is constantly shifting and changing, people can be leaders one moment, and the next variants begging for a hand out. Uma controls one of the largest territories on the Isle, as such, conflict with neighboring gangs, factions, and merchants is periodic. As Uma's second in command, it is up to Harry to learn of any attempted attacks, ambushes, or dangers, and thwart them before they can become fully fledged declarations of war.. BUSINESSES. . Since becoming Captain of the Jolly Roger, Harry has become the owner of several properties and businesses of the Isle. He leaves their management to Mr. Smee, his father's former Quartermaster, but he is known to drop in every now and again, or to ensure the protection and safety of these business from rival factions or criminals.

. AURADON COURT. . As Uma's second in command and First Mate of the Lost Revenge, Harry will often either accompany Uma to Auradon Court meetings, functions, or events, or he will step in as Uma's representative when she is unable to attend herself. While Harry does not have the power to negotiate on behalf of Uma, he can and does enter talks and discussions, advocating for Uma and the Isle and can return to Uma with valuable offers or interests. Furthermore, Harry functions as a spy and is an expert manipulator of individual interests, capable of learning and using whatever information he deems useful to his own interests.. IMPORT / EXPORT. . One of Harry's responsibilities since the removal of the Barrier around the Isle has been overseeing the import and export of resources, goods, and visitors by ship. He will often travel between the Isle Docks and Auradon Docks to ensure the proper trade of goods, as well as to take his fair share of the earnings. He is often found around the docks, or coastal businesses.. JUSTICE & REVENGE. . Since the removal of the Barrier from around the Isle, many Islelite's have immigrated to Auradon. Crime has increased, and with it, conflict between the Isle and Auradon. One of Harry's responsibilities is Bounty Hunting. He tracks, hunts, and "deal's" with Islelites that break the law. Unwilling to allow Auradon to convict anyone born or raised on the Isle, Harry will capture and arrest the offending individual or individuals and return them to the Isle for trial and punishment. Depending on the crime, Harry is also known for taking the law into his own hands and disposing of problems entirely.. UNSAFE ENCOUNTERS. . Similar to his responsibility as a Bounty Hunter, as an Enforcer, Harry is also known to target enemies of Uma or the Isle. This targeting can take many shapes, spying, blackmail, intimidation, kidnapping, torture, execution, all depending on the crime or purpose. Harry has been responsible for the mysterious disappearances of several Auradonians since the Barrier's removal, though he has yet to be charged, or questioned.

Harry began his career within the film industry as a grunt, moving and arranging set pieces and equipment until he was approached by Jaime, the Stunt Choreographer of one of the films he was working on. He was fourteen at the time, though lied often about his age. At eighteen, he competed in Las Vegas Mixed Martial Arts tournament, winning first place as the middleweight champion. At twenty-two, Harry returned to the film industry, working on various action sets before he was eventually approached with an offer to be the lead antagonist for a popular action thriller series. After the Blip the blockade against the Isle was lifted and those who had been born and raised on the Isle were permitted to leave. Harry is one of those individuals.
